The hotel offers reasonably spacious double rooms with king beds. The wake-up service was a helpful amenity available for guests. The location is conveniently situated in Downtown Ixtapan de la Sal.

The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the heart of downtown with easy access to shops, restaurants, and attractions. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with stunning art pieces tastefully placed in the public areas. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with luxurious bathrooms and impeccable service. The breakfast options are delicious, with a wide variety to choose from. The views from the rooms are breathtaking, overlooking stunning gardens and scenic landscapes.
The only downside is that the towels provided were a little more scratchy than expected.

armchair in the room is comfortable for reading, shower is good and massages excellent, magical. bed is quite comfortable and room is a good size. location is very good as you are entering Ixtapan and very close to the centre. sauce of the shrimps with Jamaica was very good. staff is very friendly and attentive.
first thing: the "garden" view, nothing, don't get excited, I got a room with a view of another building but with some plants in the middle, I guess that was the garden. food leaves a lot to be desired, there is almost nothing original and it is too expensive with little flavor, they take more than 45 minutes to serve, coffee looks like battery acid. dining room at night has a cold draught through the chapel roof that makes it unpleasant to be there at dinner unless you have a jacket with a sheep. drinks themselves become crazy when a 16 peso can of beer sells for 70, I know it's a 5 star hotel but personally I find it abusive and a bad strategy since instead of consuming 3 or 4 drinks you consume 1 and not for lack of money but for common sense. hotel is a maze that is not properly marked so it is easy to get lost especially on the way to the spa or courts. checkout is eternal and Wi-Fi does not appear in the common areas nor do they give you the key. parking lot does not have enough space so they end up parking their cars on the street and charging for it most of the time. They could do a lot better by using their charges correctly because you expect to go to the Marriott! end up in a hotel equis...

The person who does the registration, called Karina, lacks training. She cheats the customers, she asked me for my RFC since one day before my departure because according to her I was going to have the bill ready for my check out. It was not like that, she argued that it is done at the time of departure, I ask: then why did she tell me something else the day before? Ok, I check out and ask for my invoice, I tell her that while she is preparing it I am going to sit down and wait for her, another customer arrives to check in, she attends to it and leaves aside the preparation of my invoice. Why is this behavior less important than the check out behavior? I had to stand up and wait for my bill to be drawn up because if another customer arrives, I get 19:00 hours. When I was preparing it I was impressively slow. I ask you to check whether this person knows how to prepare invoices or not, because everything seems to indicate that he does not.

rooms are comfortable and everything is very clean. reception and lobby are the most beautiful thing in the hotel, you can tell that it has been remodeled and is very modern. pools are good, although the children's pool was a little dirty, they should be cleaning it constantly, as there were many leaves and garbage. slides and slide are a bit old and should be remodeled too. overall service from all the people in the hotel was excellent.
Some facilities are old and neglected. They have several spaces for children and they are very dirty and neglected, there are no staff, for example in the go karts and they charge you. soccer field they have next to them is in deplorable conditions and truth does not give a good image. breakfast is not excellent and cost seemed to me very high for what they served. They charge for parking and quite expensive.

is at least the seventh or eighth time we have stayed at this hotel: in general the experience was good, however now there were very bad details: The only thing that can be salvaged is the condition of the rooms and kindness of the staff.
The same day we arrived, we received an email offering apologies because the hotel is being remodeled, which was planned to end on October 17, what good was that information when we no longer had the option to cancel? In spite of that, the facilities are terribly deteriorated, lacking in maintenance and dirty to the point of finding huge cockroaches in the area of the roofed pool? The water in the pools was cold but it was dirty. The cost of breakfast is an abuse, as it is also charged for the use of balls in the courts that have little or no maintenance and can find trash thrown without anyone even think about picking it up. One day the cleaning was done at 6 pm. The spa is forgotten and does not cause the slightest desire to do something in it, just give you a folder where you can check the services warning you that the sauna is not working. The check out was more than an hour long since there was only one person attending the reception when they knew it was the end of the bridge and many people were going out at the same time. And in case something was missing, the people in charge of the parking lot let the employees ride in the guests' cars.. I don't understand how Marriott operates something like this: this five-star thing is a joke.

I recently stayed at the Marriott hotel in Ixtapan de la Sal for a family vacation. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special, using a unique hand-to-heart salute. This hotel is perfect for families, especially those with children. The spa and massage services were absolutely fantastic, with skilled and talented massagists. Although the spa facility may appear a bit outdated, it didn't take away from the incredible experience.
Totally recommend this hotel.

Great surroundings, with beautiful gardens and art, and friendly Mexican people. Located in a vibrant downtown area, the hotel offers great amenities such as a kids' pirate boat pool and large, comfortable rooms with flat-screen TVs and good service.
Some aspects of the hotel fall short of expectations, such as an unreliable plumbing system, confusion during check-in and valet parking, and limited pool towels.
